Consultem is headed by Karol Brassard and Martin Beaupré, respectively the former Chairman of the Board and Vice-President of Nexxlink Technologies, a major IT services firm with more than $125M in sales that was sold to Bell Canada in 2005.

Karol Brassard is a techno-entrepreneur. He was the founder of Nexxlink Technologies Inc., a leading Canadian integrated IT solutions provider. Over the years, he held the positions of President and Chief Executive Officer and Executive Chairman of the Board. Mr. Brassard, who studied management and marketing at the École des Hautes Études Commerciales, got his start in the IT industry with a personal investment of just $1,000 in 1987. Within 17 years, thanks to an ambitious business development and acquisitions strategy and an excellent team, Nexxlink became a leading integrated IT services provider in Canada. In 2004, the company has some 950 employees and achieved more than $125 million in annualized sales. In 2005, Bell Canada acquired the company as part of a takeover bid. (See Bell press release)

In 1992, Mr. Brassard earned the Arista Award as Québec’s Young Entrepreneur of the Year. He led his company to the Mercuriades finals more than five times. In 2001, Nexxlink was a winner in the Mercuriades for the quality of its customer service and a finalist as Company of the Year. In 1998, Karol Brassard also won the prestigious “TOP 40 Under 40” award granted by the Financial Post. In 2004, he was named “Technology CEO of the Year” by Desjardins and the Inter logiQ Network. He was also a finalist for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Grand Prize in 2003 and 2004.

Today, Karol Brassard is President of Kotient Consulting and Consultem Consulting Services, firms specializing in IT consulting services. He is also Chairman of the Board of Odacia Studio, a dynamic company in the WEB 3D sector.
Martin Beaupré

Martin Beaupré has a background in information technology and more than 20 years of experience in the industry at the technical and the operational and management levels alike. Over the years, Mr. Beaupré has also developed his abilities as a manager. After working as a consultant in the healthcare field for 10 years, he joined the Nexxlink team as Vice-President to set up the major Managed Services Division (outsourcing, hosting, call centre, etc.). Subsequent to the acquisition of Nexxlink by Bell, Mr. Beaupré was in charge of engineering for Québec and Ontario for the SME market. Mr. Beaupré is a seasoned and rigorous manager who is fully committed to ensuring his clients’ complete satisfaction.
