LucieI began working at Consultem in 1999. I had a friend who was working there already and had nothing but good things to say about them. At the time I was working for another firm whose assignments didn't really suit me. So I went to Consultem, which also had the reputation of being THE firm for SAS consultants in Montreal. They found me a new contract immediately, and it was a good one, too - I worked there for three years. For several years I had dreamed of going to work in Paris. When I was hired, the people at Consultem told me that there were potential opportunities along those lines. But for a while I put that option aside, because my job in Montreal was very interesting. When the desire to go to Paris finally became overpowering in 2002, Consultem was still there to help me find an interesting project. Now I've been in Paris for nearly four years and Consultem continues to be there for me, whatever the circumstances. SophieI've been at Consultem for just over a year. I joined the company after completing a temporary contract with a major pharmaceutical lab. When the contract was nearing its end, I began to look for employment opportunities. At the time, I only knew about Consultem through some of their staff from Quebec whom I'd worked with. It was my former supervisor who steered me toward Consultem, because she had been very pleased with the work performed by Consultem's consultants on the project and also because she had had such good interaction with their account management team. I successfully made it through Consultem's hiring process and they offered me a permanent assignment in the pharmaceutical field. I've found that Consultem is a company which values people, with account managers who are available and ready to listen - that's really nice when you're working on an assignment. I have no regrets at all about following my old supervisor's advice! EricAfter moving from an analyst/developer position to that of a team manager on the IT side of things, I wanted to switch to a position providing project management support on the business end. Although circumstances were difficult at the time, my manager opted not to assign me to the IT-related projects that were available and we worked together in response to my desire for a career change. For several months now I've been on a long-term business-side project for a major transportation company and I'm very happy with the change! FrederickWe're treated very well at Consultem! They do whatever is necessary to help us get oriented in our work and our assignment with the client. The projects that we're given are more motivating and correspond to each employee's background. The managers show an interest and concern for our well-being. It's always reassuring to see that our company doesn't treat us like drones but instead thinks of us as real people. The sales staff monitors our progress on a monthly basis to be sure that everything is going according to plan with each client. Consultem provides helpful training in their placement procedures and in obtaining work visas, which isn't always the case at other companies in this field. |
